She initiates by providing background to the unauthorized memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"It is not my wish for the BBC tilting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it straight, impartial and equitable," he states.
In response to a query if he believes the BBC is structurally prejudiced, Prescott answers: "No I don't. To be clear, numerous aspects the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is exceptional - including informative and fictional content."
But he adds: "There remains significant effort that needs to be done at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
A further former external BBC consultant questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she regards the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it maintains a "ongoing system and active debate" on dynamic and complex topics.
"Was the BBC willing to have a thorough conversation and exchange and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "From my perspective, yes they were."
